About Me

Hi I’m Gene and I’m an experienced Hertfordshire wedding photographer who loves capturing the magic of your special day. When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me spending time with my partner of many years and our family of five great kids.

Our youngest is 6 years old and my little shadow, whether we’re on the playground, having tea parties, or playing dress up. Life is always an adventure and a joyful juggle with my family!

I’m into all sorts of music synthwave .. 70’s rock…. To Metallica and old skool trance and chill …  …tv series and movies ultimate favourite movie is Amelie but you’ll find me interested in how they lit the scene … I play the drums ( badly ) just started running couch to 5k to improve my fitness and overall health.

My passion for photography began in my high school art classes, when my uncle gifted me his old Pentax camera. I was instantly hooked and went on to formally study photography in college. Since then, I’ve worked as a celebrity press photographer, a forensic photographer, and now I’m thrilled to be in my 7th year specialising in wedding photography. It brings me so much joy to capture lasting memories for couples on their special day.

My style leans towards a natural, candid approach, with a hint of editorial. This means that for most of your day I am capturing the true emotions and moments of your wedding day. I believe authentic moments tell the most beautiful story, so I don’t heavily pose or stage scenes. Expect a mix of light-filled, beautiful portraits alongside vibrant details and candid interactions, all woven together to create a timeless narrative of your special day.

Absolutely! I love exploring new locations and capturing the unique features of each wedding venue. While I’m based in Hertfordshire, I’m to travel throughout the UK and destination weddings too. Travel fees may apply depending on the distance, but I’ll always provide transparent pricing beforehand.

My packages offer varied coverage times, typically ranging from 8 to 10 hours. More hours can be added if you have something special that you’d like to make sure I’m there for. But from experience I’ve found this suits most UK weddings. I’m always happy to discuss the perfect timeframe for your day.

You’ll typically receive your beautifully edited photos within 6-8 weeks after your wedding. However, I understand the excitement, so I always strive to deliver a sneak peek within a few days to keep the magic alive.

My packages are designed to offer flexibility and value. They typically include high-resolution digital images, online password protected web gallery, and printing rights. Some packages also offer engagement shoots, albums, or second photographer coverage. Check out my packages page for all the details.
